Stefan is a member of the MIRI Communications team. He has a background in political economy, international development, and mixed-methods social science research. Before joining MIRI, he worked as a research assistant across multiple academic projects on international conflict, European accession, and education policy, and in various journalistic roles. He completed an MPhil in Politics and International Studies at the University of Cambridge, and holds a BA in Political Science and Social Research and Public Policy from New York University Abu Dhabi. Outside of work, he enjoys London Review of Books essays, card games, and is on the lookout for podcast recommendations.
